Job Description

Barton Community College seeks applications for a Student and Residence Life Assistant within the Student Life Department. This replacement, full-time 12-month position reports to the Director of Student Life and assists both the Director and the Coordinator of Residence Life with residence hall operations and Student Life programming. The Assistant will be required to work regular daytime hours as well as some nights and weekends when not scheduled to be off. This position will also have rotationally scheduled “on call” responsibilities to address after-hours housing needs and emergencies. Collaboration with many other campus departments, particularly Campus Safety, is essential, as is the ability to work with a diverse population. This position involves living in campus housing in a modern studio apartment in Bluestem Hall including amenities such as basic cable service, Wi-Fi and free communal laundry facilities. Work cell phone is provided as is an excellent benefits package. Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree or completion of a specialized course of studies at a business or trade school with up to 6 months of similar or related experience.
