Job Description

Job Purpose:

Working with a limited degree of supervision, the Participant Service Specialist I serves on the Participant Service Center – a call center supporting participants of retirement plans. This position serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Operations Products, Systems, and Processes.

Job Responsibilities:

Serve as day to day client contact for participants, providing guidance and support to participants on retirement provisions and ensuring clients’ needs are met. Work with other members of the Retirement team on more complex problem resolution.
Conduct primary and secondary research and collects information to respond to inquiries from customers or other client and advisor requests as needed
Processes and makes decisions around service requests and system transactions based on the customer request and in accordance to business and regulatory rules
Serve as a product resource for internal departments of the organization

Job Requirements:

Strong verbal/written communication skills
Problem solving and analytical skills related to complex contract changes, calculations, and research
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills
Demonstrate the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
Must exhibit values and competencies as outlined by the company
Work effectively in a team environment
Associate’s Degree in Business or other related degrees or equivalent trade off in professional related work experience
