Sunflower is a transmission and generation utility in Kansas seeking a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Compliance Specialist. Our CIP department is fast paced and ever evolving, much like the world of technology and compliance. If you thrive in this type of environment, this position might be for you! The Compliance Specialist will get the opportunity to assist with various types of compliance across the entire company, create impactful policy and procedure, and collaborate with external working groups. The successful candidate can potentially work remotely or choose from multiple Sunflower locations!
Gain experience in an electric transmission utility to further your career in technology/compliance and understanding of the industry.
Collaborate with external entities including the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).

Associate degree in a technology-related field and three years of experience in a cyber, physical security, telecommunication, control systems, technology, administration, regulatory environment, managerial support experience, comparable field experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic working knowledge of computer network operations/maintenance and software applications including Windows, MS SharePoint, MS Project Server, Microsoft Office, and the Internet.
Detail-oriented, organized, strong critical/analytical thinking abilities, and positive communication/collaboration skills.
Basic knowledge of telecommunications systems preferred.
