Sunflower Early Education Center (EEC) has recently opened an office on Ave S in Lyons, Kansas; and we are seeking applications for a Direct Service Provider that loves working with children.  These children have a diagnosis of Autism.  You will have an opportunity to have an impact on their lives that will last a lifetime. Sunflower will provide all your training, registration and credentialing needed with the State of Kansas to be a Registered Behavioral Technician. Sunflower will pay you while you learn.  This is a year round position where you will conduct developmental support sessions with children birth to 5 years old with an autism diagnosis.   You will track behavioral progress under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst/autism specialist.

The job description also includes attending scheduled trainings, staff meetings and scheduling sessions directly with families to take place in Sunflower’s community setting located in Lyons.  Other responsibilities will include performing standard office duties (e.g., preparing materials, filing, calculating, submitting timesheets and coordinating documentation.)

We are seeking an individual with the following qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

1.    Must hold a high school diploma and pass background checks.

2.    Have access to reliable transportation.

3.     Be flexible in scheduling sessions around families’ needs.

4.    Resident of Rice County or Lyons specifically.

5.    Love working with children.


Preferred Qualifications:

1.    Demonstrate good communication skills.

2.    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail as demonstrated in work experience.

3.    Proficiency in Word.

This position is one that will provide opportunities for growth and advancement in the areas of early education and autism. This position could be full time, mid time or part time.
