Nex-Tech Wireless is hiring a Software Developer to create, build, and maintain systems that support our operations. This individual will assist in designing and implementing API integrations to be utilized by internal teams and external vendors. Ongoing duties include but are not limited to optimizing code for speed, stability, and security; generating reusable code libraries; and managing data storage solutions. Candidate must reside in the state of Kansas.
We are seeking candidates to:
Develop and implement API integrations
Create and maintain documentation related to API architecture
Maintain performance of existing software; identify and recommend improvements to existing programs as necessary
Define requirements and specifications for software projects
Provide support for technical issues as needed
Quality assurance
Educate and train other team members
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Network Technologies, or a similar field or equivalent work experience
Preferred 2+ years of hands-on experience in designing and developing web services using API protocols and data formats such as REST (JSON) and SOAP (XML)
AWS/Azure/GCP experience a plus
Technical writing experience preferred
Preferred experience with CI/CD tools such as Git
Preferred experience with IDE Visual Studio
Ability to work well and collaborate as a member of a team
Ability to think critically about challenges and to take initiative
Ability to learn new technologies quickly
Ability to communicate effectively with a team via face to face, phone, email, or virtual meeting
