Service Person I /Street Department
The City of Great Bend is currently accepting applications for Service Person I with the Street Department. Primary responsibilities include skilled and semi-skilled duties related to the maintenance, construction and repair of streets, roadways, alleys, ditches, dikes and other Public Works facilities and/or projects. This position requires the ability to successfully operate light vehicles and trucks, tractors and other equipment incidental to the work of the department. This position helps install street signs, paint, perform building and facilities maintenance, assist with snow removal from city streets, mow and other duties as assigned. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience in construction and maintenance work including experience in the operation of equipment is preferred. Position requires a valid Kansas CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL within a specified time frame.
