Barton Community College seeks applications for the position of Shafer Art Gallery Community Engagement Coordinator. The coordinator is responsible for fulfilling the outreach and community engagement mission of the Shafer Gallery by providing programming and events for community and school groups, in addition to assisting the gallery director in all aspects of managing, curating, and displaying works in the Shafer Gallery and managing the Barton Foundation art collection. This role also serves as information specialist for the Gallery, working to share the mission, exhibits, and events both on-campus and in the community.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, with practical knowledge of office software, strong visual design sensibilities, and vibrant interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, Art History, or related areas. Review of completed applications begins immediately.
