Description: A full-time position as a Staff Accountant for a business located in the Great Bend, KS area. EOE

Skills: Must have a positive attitude, enjoy working with people and possess a drive to provide excellent customer service to the departments within the company that you support. Additional consideration will be given for those who focus on details and have a technical understanding of accounting systems and internal controls. Prior experience working within an accounting department is required. High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.

Duties: Responsible for working within a general ledger environment, ability to prepare balance sheet and income statements (proficiency in QuickBooks and Great Plains platforms preferred, but not required), processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, initiating electronic banking transactions, and reconciling monthly bank statements and GL accounts. Microsoft Office; strong working knowledge of Excel and Word. Payroll experience preferred but not required. The position will also be responsible for maintaining a knowledge base regarding accounting and internal control policies, procedures and guidelines.
