Job Description

Barton Community College seeks applications for Coordinator of Student Housing. This replacement, full-time 12-month position serves as a front-line contact for on-campus housing residents, and develops, coordinates, and implements residence life programming with oversight of all housing department processes. The Coordinator will be required to work regular daytime hours as well as some nights and weekends when not scheduled to be off; is also regularly scheduled as “on call” and will respond to housing concerns and emergencies. Collaboration with many other campus departments, particularly Campus Safety, is essential, as is the ability to work with a diverse population.

This position involves living in campus housing. The Coordinator residence is a standalone building, separate from student dorms. Updated 6 years ago, it provides over 2000 square feet of living space (4 bedrooms, two bathrooms, storage room, washer, dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher and oven/range), yard with privacy fence, basic cable service, and Wi-Fi. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree or completion of a specialized course of studies at a business or trade school with up to 6 months of similar or related experience, bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
