Barton Community College seeks applications for a replacement, full-time Secretary/Data Specialist for the Barton County Upward Bound/Student Support Services/TRIO programs. Qualifications for this grant-funded position include: Associate’s degree in office management, business or related field preferred. High school diploma or GED required. Responsibilities: documentation of participant eligibility, demographic information, contacts and outcomes for the BCUB and SSS Projects. Compiles information necessary for completion of reports related to the projects including the development and maintenance of database and assists in providing project services to eligible participants directed toward the accomplishment of program goals and objectives. Cox Communications is building a team responsible for ensuring customers have a positive experience in Cox Digital Stores. Reporting to the Team Leader in the Sales organization, the Retail Sales Representative is a vital customer-facing role that critically impacts customers’ first impression. The role of the representative is to provide quality customer service while also assisting residential customers who visit a Cox Digital Store in paying their bills, returning or picking up equipment, or getting account information. This position works in a fast paced environment taking customer payments and exchanges, or issuing equipment and occasionally provides technical support as necessary. Position also accurately and efficiently balances cash drawer (checks only) and checks inventory daily.

Cox Communications is looking for representatives with strong communication, teamwork and problem solving skills as any customer needs and inquiries (technical, service, or sales related) will have to be handled in an appropriate and positive manner. Position also has the ability to help grow the company through capturing opportunities to offer additional or upgraded services to customers as available.

Primary Responsibilities:
Resolve Customer Issues
Understand customer’s needs through listening and asking questions while simultaneously obtaining information required to respond to the customer’s request by accessing customer databases or other electronic files and/or paper reference material

Resolve service-related problems by performing basic troubleshooting with customers

Interpret relevant information regarding the customer’s circumstances in order to determine the appropriate answer, response, or solution

Resolve complex collection issues, avoiding termination or disconnection of service whenever possible, by proposing alternatives or more appropriate package and payment arrangements

Support Business Operations
Grow the business by up-selling service upgrades and additional services to existing customers who come in on service-related visits, includes acquiring and enrolling new customers by demonstrating all voice, video, and data products, assessing customer needs, and using effective sales techniques

Receive and process customer payments made in cash, check, money orders, traveler’s checks, or credit card

Accurately balance register, cash drawer (checks only), and computer daily. This includes reconciling any errors found and filling out a deposit slip at day’s end showing amount of cash remaining

Issue and take in equipment by verifying customer’s identity, issuing receipt and obtaining customer’s signature for all equipment issued

Coordinate issue and return of equipment and accurately maintain inventory and database records. Sort and tag boxes based on their need for repair

Promote Quality Customer Experience
Educate customers by demonstrating Cox services, explaining bills and discussing Cox policies and procedures concerning prices, billing and service

Effectively communicate with customers to schedule installations for all products
