The Central Kansas jobs program has undergone numerous changes since it was started in 2008. At the time, the economy was thriving and there were over 350 available jobs in Great Bend and the surrounding communities. Shortly thereafter, the economy took a nosedive and the job market drastically changed. The staff of the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce & Economic Development has made continuous efforts to keep the program relevant and meeting the needs of local businesses and job seekers alike. Here is a look at the services available through the Central Kansas Jobs program:
Services for Employers:
- FREE job postings on the Central Kansas Jobs web site
- FREE opportunity to browse applications and resumes sent in from job seekers
- Automatic email notifications of new job listings sent out to job seekers
Services for Job Seekers:
- Sign up for FREE email notifications any time a new job is posted on the web site
- Browse available jobs and send your resume directly to employers
- Provide the Chamber staff with a copy of your resume to add to our archives for employers to browse
